Product information: “Scherell’s stock oil light, 50ml”

The world-class anatomical grips for air, sport pistols have been Rinks field of expertise for 15 years. For finishing of all of their wooden grips (and for maintenance) Rink recommends and uses “Scherell´s stock oil light” provided by Ballistol GmbH.

It is free of any artificial ingredients and gives the wood a silky shine.

For regular maintenance the oil should be applied with a rag or a paintbrush and then rubbed in with a linen cloth (lintless) or with the ball of your thumb. The emerging heat enables the oil to sink into the pores and still allows the wood to absorb and evaporate moisture.

The more often you repeat this procedure, the classier the surface will become.

The company: We have been producing anatomical grips for sport pistols since 1995. In the early stages we only produced custom grips for local customers. Very soon we were able to convince customers living outside of Germany of our wide range of standard grips and our innovative adjustable palm rest. In the meantime dealers from nearly all continents are distributing our grips. Marksmen from countries around the globe come to us to have their perfect grip fitted. Our move into the new workshop in Katzenfurt (district of Ehringshausen) in 2016 enabled us to expand our production to the increasing demand and to offer our customers more suitable premises for the fitting of custom made grips. Once a year, on the occasion of the German Championships, we also “pitch our tents” in Munich. There we present our product range in our service-trailer and we can make grip modifications.

1 review for Scherell’s stock oil light, 50ml

Scherells is the best oil one can use to maintain wooden pistol grips. It goes on easily and even if you “over apply,” it will be absorbed. I have two suggestions. 1- avoid the darker versions and stick with the light one for most stock applications. 2- if you are thinking of applying before a match make sure you are at least 2 weeks, so the grip will settle.
